Cantonment--Recently, completed coursework for a BS degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University and will begin Demonstration Teaching in January of 2012. Previously tutored high school students and elementary students. Former in home childcare provider. Expert in English!! I would like to be a tutor because I thoroughly enjoy helping others learn. Prior to beginning my degree, I kept children of all ages in my home for ten years. I provided a preschool and kindergarten aged curriculum for toddlers and older children as part of my daily routine. This program taught the children the basic skills that they would need for entering kindergarten. I enjoy the challenge of helping others excel and my forte' is English which includes grammar, reading, writing and literature. I believe that often, students fail in subjects because of careless errors and lack of enthusiasm about certain subjects. Learning should be fun and entertaining and informative and never dull, boring and monotonous. I have taken all of the required courses for my degree including Classroom Management and Instructional Strategies. After completing Demonstration Teaching in January of 2012, I will officially be certified to teach K-8th grade in Florida schools. Currently, I do hold a certification in Elementary Education (K-6th) from the U. S. Department of Education. I have been certified in General Knowledge for K-6th in all subject areas except for Math.
